Understanding the Implications of Deleting Images

Updated over a week ago

In your eCommerce store, images play a crucial role in showcasing your products. However, there may be times when you want to delete some images from your library. This article explains the process and implications of deleting images from your Subliminator library.

Deleting Images

You have the ability to delete images from your library. However, it's important to understand the potential consequences of doing so.

What Happens When You Delete an Image?

Deleting an image that has been used to publish products to Subliminator or Shopify has significant implications:

  1. Subliminator Deletes Associated Products: If you delete an image that has been used for a product, Subliminator will also delete that product. This is because the product is linked to the image.

  2. Generating Print Files Becomes Impossible: If an order comes in for a product associated with a deleted image, generating print files for that order will not be possible. This could disrupt your order fulfillment process and potentially lead to customer dissatisfaction.

The Deletion Process

When you attempt to delete an image, a window will pop up, informing you of the consequences. If you still want to proceed, you'll need to type the word "DELETE" into the box provided. After this, the image will be deleted, and all products using that image will be removed from Subliminator.

Conclusion

Deleting images from your library is a significant action with potential implications for your product listings and order fulfillment. Therefore, it's crucial to think carefully before proceeding with image deletion.
