Etsy Tracking Not Updating or Showing Incorrect Tracking Link

In some cases, tracking updates for orders fulfilled through Subliminator may not automatically display correctly on Etsy. This happens when Etsy does not support tracking updates for the shipping carrier used for the order.

In some cases, tracking updates for orders fulfilled through Subliminator may not automatically display correctly on Etsy. This happens when Etsy does not support tracking updates for the shipping carrier used for the order.

Subliminator always provides tracking numbers for shipped orders. However, Etsy only supports automatic tracking updates for selected carriers. You can view Etsy’s supported carriers list here:

If the carrier is not supported by Etsy, the tracking number is still sent to Etsy, but the tracking link may not generate correctly or may not appear for buyers.


Why This Happens

Some shipping carriers are not currently supported by Etsy’s tracking update system.

When this occurs:

• The tracking number is successfully pushed to Etsy
• Etsy may not automatically generate a tracking link
• Buyers may not see the Track Package button on their purchase page


How to Fix Tracking Link Manually

If the order is still within Etsy’s editable timeframe, sellers can manually update the tracking carrier to generate the correct tracking link.

Steps to Update Tracking in Etsy

  1. Go to your Etsy Shop Manager

  2. Navigate to Orders and Shipping

  3. Locate the affected order

  4. Scroll to the shipping section

  5. Click Edit Tracking

  6. Select Other from the carrier dropdown

  7. Type the carrier name (Example: YunExpress) in the textbox

  8. Save the changes

After saving, Etsy should generate the correct tracking link and the Track Package button should appear on the buyer’s purchase page.


Important Time Limitation

Etsy only allows tracking details to be edited within approximately 3 days after the order is marked as complete.

If the order is outside this window:

• The Edit Tracking option will no longer be available
• Subliminator cannot update tracking carrier details through the Etsy API
• Sellers must contact Etsy Support for further assistance


Can Subliminator Update This for You?

Unfortunately, Subliminator cannot edit tracking carrier information once it has been submitted to Etsy. Etsy does not provide API access that allows us to modify carrier details after fulfillment.


Future Orders

We have implemented improvements to reduce tracking display issues for future orders. However, this situation may still occur when a shipping carrier is not supported by Etsy.


Recommended Best Practice

If you notice that a tracking link is missing or incorrect:

• Check if the carrier is supported by Etsy
• Update the tracking carrier manually if within Etsy’s editing timeframe
• Contact Etsy Support if the editing window has passed
