LUCID - German Packaging Act (VerpackG)
Updated over a week ago

The German Packaging Act (VerpackG) is a law aimed to reduce the impact of packaging waste on environment.

It applies to all companies and online retailers who send packaged shipments into Germany, requiring them to pay fees for disposal and recycling costs of the packaging imported into Germany.

The first distributor (manufacturer) is Subliminator. We are registered in the LUCID system and cover all packaging charges imposed by VerpackG for orders fulfilled by us, so you don’t have to worry about it!

Good to know:

  • For products fulfilled with Subliminator, you can avoid registering with the Packing Registry and pay no additional fees.

  • You can not use Subliminator's LUCID ID if you sell products that are fulfilled through another company. You will need to register your business with the Central Packaging Registry and pay fees in order get proper certification.

Online marketplaces must ensure that all sellers who send their packaged goods to Germany have registered with LUCID's packaging register starting July 1st 2022.

You will need to manually input your Subliminator LUCID registration number DE2792718834450 into the marketplace you're using.
