Getting Started with Subliminator: Account Setup and Shopify Publishing

Subliminator Quick Start Guide

Creating Your Subliminator Account

To get started, register for a free Subliminator account at https://app.subliminator.com/sign-up. Once logged in, you will see setup instructions inside the dashboard. At minimum, you will need to add your billing information before you can publish your first product.

Accepted File Formats for Designs

When uploading designs to the editor tool, Subliminator accepts JPEG and PNG files only. PDF files are not accepted. If you are working with a designer, you can share the official design templates — available in PSD and PNG formats — so they can prepare print-ready files in the correct format.

  • Accepted upload formats: JPEG, PNG

  • Design templates available in: PSD, PNG

  • PDF files: not supported

Note: Subliminator cannot convert AI-generated mockups or other image formats into print files. Your design must be prepared and uploaded as a print-ready JPEG or PNG.

Publishing Your Product to Shopify

When creating a product, you will be prompted to choose where to publish it. To sell on Shopify, you must select Publish to Shopify during the product creation process — not just publish it inside Subliminator.

If you have already published a product inside Subliminator but not directly to Shopify, you can still push it to your Shopify store after the fact:

  • Log into your Subliminator account and go to the Products section.

  • Select My Products to see all products you have created.

  • Find the product you want to push and select the option to publish it to Shopify.

Keeping Your Subliminator Product After Publishing to Shopify

Once a product is successfully published to Shopify, you may wonder whether to delete the version that remains inside Subliminator. Do not delete the Subliminator-published product unless support confirms it is safe to do so for your specific setup — it is needed to ensure orders from your Shopify store sync correctly back to Subliminator. Only remove it if a support agent has reviewed your account and confirmed the Shopify-linked SKU is active and syncing properly.

Getting Help

If you run into issues at any point during setup or publishing, contact Subliminator support. When reaching out, have the relevant product name or SKU ready so the team can check your account quickly.
